Thoroughbred horse pedigree is most important when purebred thoroughbred horses for sale are being dealt with.  There are databases devoted entirely to thoroughbred horse pedigree.  You can find thoroughbred horse pedigree databases and information all over the internet and in books as well.  In fact, you may even be able to research thoroughbred horse pedigree locally by speaking to local horse owners, horse groomers, horse caretakers, and equine veterinarians.  More extensive thoroughbred horse pedigree research may be required when your horse was not bred locally.
